Ilham Aliyev met with the chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Cemil Cicek

President Ilham Aliyev has met with the chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Cemil Cicek.

At the meeting, they exchanged views on the existing friendly relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan and on the prospects of these relations. It was noted that relations between the two countries had a very strong basis and that out ties are based on common history and culture.

During the meeting, attention was paid to the development of inter-parliamentary relations. It was noted that the Grand National Assembly of Turkey supports Azerbaijan's position on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and that further fruitful cooperation between the two countries' parliaments is of great importance. Also, it was stressed that our fraternal countries will be next to each other at all times.
