President Ilham Aliyev has received the former secretary-general of the Council of Europe, the chairman of the International Coordinating Committee of the World Public Forum, Walter Schwimmer.
Walter Schwimmer expressed his satisfaction with the participation in the forthcoming World Forum on the Dialogue of Civilizations due in Azerbaijan. Stressing that every time he comes to Baku he witnesses extensive creative work, Walter Schwimmer described this as an indicator of Azerbaijan’s sustainable economic development.
Touching upon the importance of the World Forum on the Dialogue of Civilizations, President Ilham Aliyev said representatives of many countries would take part. He highlighted that Azerbaijan has become a regular venue for authoritative international activities. The head of state said Azerbaijan had made great strides in the economic sphere, adding that this development covered both the capital and all the regions.
