Ilham Aliyev visited Nizami Ganjavi Park in Masalli after its complete reconstruction

President Ilham Aliyev toured the newly-reconstructed Nizami Ganjavi Park on Talishkhanov street of the Masalli city.

The regional community representatives welcomed the President warmly.

The Executive Power of the Masalli Region Gazanfar Aghayev informed the President that the park, built in 1967, had fallen into desuetude because of the long-term indifference and lost its previous appeal. The reconstruction and expansion works in the park, with a general area of 4.5 thousand square meters, started in the beginning of the current year.

It was noted that after the reconstruction, the monument to great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi was replaced with a new one, stone tiles were laid over 4500 square meters area, new vegetation lodged, and ornamental trees and bushes planted. A modern lighting system was set up and a new fountain built.

President Ilham Aliyev was told that the park was encircled by a 280m long fence, with a national architectural design. Comfortable benches were fixed and a stage constructed in the park for organization of cultural mass events. The façade of the Culture House, located in the area of the park, was renovated, while reconstruction works were carried out in the Ideology Center. The restoration works over the façades of the surrounding buildings are almost over.

The President viewed a photo stand, reflecting the large-scale reconstruction-renovation works, to be carried out in the region, the measures to be taken and the machinery to be used for improvement of water, sewage and other infrastructure systems in the towns and villages of Masalli.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev pulled down the white linen, covering the monument to great Azerbaijani Poet Nizami Ganjavi.

The President was told that the height of the monument is 3.6 meters.

Behind the monumental structure, a composition was created, which consists of the motives from the writings of the greatest representative of Azerbaijani classic poetry - Nizami Ganjavi.

The President laid a bouquet at the monument.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev met with the community representatives.
