Ilham Aliyev got familiarized new flats built for residents of Gasymbayli village

In the framework of his visit to the region of Sabirabad, President Ilham Aliyev got familiarized with flats built for residents who lost their houses in Gasymbayli village due to inundations occurred in the Kura last May.

Head of state was informed that the work is still going on in this region where natural calamity has occurred. The construction of new houses instead of those destroyed as a result of inundations and restoration of damaged buildings are implemented successfully. In this respect, the region of Sabirabad remained also in the center of attention.

President Ilham Aliyev visited the house of Bakhtiyar Abyshov, village resident. It was reported that, houses made mainly of raw bricks were destroyed as a result of natural calamity. During the building operations, a particular attention was paid to the construction of new houses taking into account high quality and all standards to be ensured for people who lost their houses. The number of rooms in new flats and its area are higher in comparison with previous ones.

It was noted that new equipment was also brought to houses taking into account the fact that home appliances came into out of use.

74 houses were built in Gasymbayli village, while more than 55 out of them are commissioned. In general, 169 living mansions were built in Yukhary Akhtach, Muradbayli, Asgarbayli villages of Sabirabad, including also Gasymbayli. 85 out of them are already in use.

President Ilham Aliyev was reported that removal of prejudice made as a result of spill over of the Kura and the Araxes and restoration of destroyed infrastructure are also finalized. The compensation in the amount of AZN10 million was paid to the people suffering from calamity. The main phase of dam and coast reclamation work along the Kura is completed in the region. In general, repair of protective dam and rock crushing work was carried out in 16 km long distance along right and left banks of the Kure in the territory of the region. 13 water transfer points and locks were built in many villages of Sabirabad. By making step, it became possible to prevent such problems that may occur in the future, and more comprehensive work was done to ensure maximum safety of people.
