Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the Saatli “Agroservice” branch of the “Agroleasing” Open Joint-Stock Company

President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Saatli “Agroservice” branch of the “Agroleasing” Open Joint-Stock Company.

The staff of the branch warmly welcomed the head of state.

Minister of Agriculture Ismat Abbasov informed President Ilham Aliyev that the newly-established Saatli “Agroservice” branch of the “Agroleasing” Open Joint-Stock Company would play an important part in the agricultural development of the district. The construction of the Saatli “Agroservice” branch, which covers an area of one hectare, started in 2010. There is an office building, a repair workshop, a shed for the storage of hardware and an open area on the premises. There is also a warehouse for fertilizer and pesticides. The warehouse, which has a total storage capacity of 2,000 tons, will provide farmers with pesticides made in Germany and mineral fertilizer made in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. The repair workshop of the branch is equipped with all the facilities to ensure maintenance of agricultural machinery. A total of 30 people will have full-time jobs at the branch.

President Ilham Aliyev was also informed in detail of regional logistical bases of the “Agroleasing” Open Joint-Stock Company and of agricultural service branches. It was indicated that regional logistical bases were currently available in Sabirabad, Shaki, Jalilabad, Shamkir, Barda and Khachmaz Districts. There are “Agroservice” branches in 18 districts now, while five more are scheduled for commissioning this year.

President Ilham Aliyev reviewed photo stands documenting the initial state of things at inter-district supply and logistical bases and agricultural service branches. During familiarization with the machinery at the Saatli “Agroservice” branch, the head of state was informed that hardware worth a total of 3,700,000 manats had been provided to the branch. Of this, 2,900,000 manats worth of machinery was provided on leasing terms, while the rest was given to the branch permanently. Along with the agricultural hardware from Finland, Russia, Turkey and Poland, there are also tractors manufactured by the Ganja automobile plant. According to an agreement between “Agroleasing” Open Joint-Stock Company and the Ganja automobile plant, the Company buys 500 tractors from the plant every year. Besides, the Ganja automobile plant also manufactures ploughs for the tractors. To date, the Company has bought 1,890 tractors from the plant. The commissioning of the branch will open up extensive opportunities for agricultural producers in Sattli District. The provision of farmers with modern agricultural machinery will not only help them improve the quality of their produce but also create an abundance on the market. There is a total of 290 units of hardware at the branch. These include 88 tractors, 27 combine harvesters, while the rest are suspension and trailer facilities.

After reviewing the Saatli “Agroservice” branch of the “Agroleasing” Open Joint-Stock Company, the head of state wished the staff future successes.
