Ilham Aliyev arrives to Zardab region

Completing his visit to Agjabedi, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived to the region of Zardab.

First of all, head of state paid tribute to the monument of national leader Heydar Aliyev and laid a wreath of flowers.

President Ilham Aliyev studied the project of Heydar Aliyev Center in the park named after our national leader and situated in the center of the region.

While familiarizing with the park, head of state was informed that this resort center is the most preferred place for Zardab residents. Taking it into account, several rounds of refurbishment work were carried out recently to modernize the park and make it more attractive. Light poles were replaced by new ones. Marble piles were paved here in the area of 5 thousand square meters. Wide scale greening work was carried out in the park.

President Ilham Aliyev familiarized also with the preparation for the construction of Heydar Aliyev Center. Head of state was informed that the total area of this Center destined to commemorate the memory of Heydar Aliyev and study his rich heritage will be more than one thousand square meters with two storey building exhibiting photos, books and other objects dedicated to various moments of titanic public and political life of national leader. Painting, chess playing, ICT and carpet making rooms and other facilities located at ground floor will help youth to master some professional skills. The first floor will have conference hall and library.

President Ilham Aliyev noted that according the general development trend in the country, as it goes with all regions of the republic, the development of Zardab region is also reflected in concrete programs. “The work in Zardab should be conducted at high level,” – said President Ilham Aliyev by stressing importance of the resolution of social issues. Head of state said that the main goal of visits to the regions is to get familiriazed with the work done at places. President Ilham Aliyev said that as it goes with all regions of the republic, the measures will be undertaken to renovate further infrastructure of Zardab.

President Ilham Aliyev was informed extensively about the work carried out to solve social issues in the region. Region’s residents speaking at the meeting said that today fast pace development process is underway in Zardab as a result of policy of the head of state.

During the meeting, residents expressed their thanks to President Ilham Aliyev for his care extended to them following natural calamity occurred last year as a result of spill over of the Kura.
