Ilham Aliyev met with local community representatives of Garadolag village

Following the opening of 24.5 km long highway from Agjabedi to Kebirli, President Ilham Aliyev met with the representatives of local community of Garadolag village.

Village residents welcomed warmly the head of state.

President Ilham Aliyev greeted participants of the ceremony by saying:

- I congratulate you. A nice road is constructed.

Resident: Mister President, we express our gratitude to you. May Allah help you. You raised high the flag of Azerbaijan. May the flag of Azerbaijan fly always high. On behalf of our village residents, we stress our thanks to you. We are honored by your arrival.

President Ilham Aliyev: Thank you very much.

Resident: Dear President, you are the initiator of these activities. You meet with the population, listen to their proposals and give instructions to implement those initiatives. We are thankful to you. Those who do not see this achievement and this nice work are blind people. We are living alright in nice mood. We do not lack anything thanks to your efforts.

President Ilham Aliyev: A road means life and development. Village roads are being constructed in regions. This road is also a nice one. It links several villages.

Resident: We heard about your arrival. It is an immense joy for us. It is a nice day. It is a holiday for us. May Allah bestow upon you a long life and good health. May Allah be in your help.

President Ilham Aliyev: We will do further work. I gave the instruction gas pipelines are being constructed to all villages. The region of Agjabedi should have natural gas supplies by 100%. All issues related to potable water and irrigation should find its solutions. As far as village roads are concerned, we will make our villages more attractive in future phases, and construct more roads. We should work to facilitate entry and exit roads. Previously, this road was a land road. It has never had any asphalt. Now, look at a nice road built for traffic.

Resident: Mister President, welcome to the land of Agjabedi, the village of Garadolag. We count on you. Residents of Agjabedi highly value your activities. Since long time we wished your visit to Agjabedi. Allah made our dreams come true. It is a tremendous joy for us. You have replaced our road of 30 km by shorter one – only 10 km. What can be more comfortable than that! Agjabedi people welcome and support your internal and external policies. Why? It is explained by the fact that all your activities are aimed at broadening our development and welfare of our country. We wish you once again good health and happiness.

Resident: Dear Commander-in-Chief, I have few words to say. Our great leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder and creator of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the savior of our people, the great leader of Turkic world of XX century known his brilliant and glorious personality all over the world has left a big legacy to Azerbaijani people and youth. What is that legacy? It is to make Azerbaijan live longer, build our country and promote it across the world. Today, you have promoted Azerbaijan in all such fields as sport, healthcare and others. Azerbaijani people, including the residents of Agjabedi are thankful to you. Our people suffered from road problem. Now, we have a comfortable road. Therefore, we are grateful to you.

President Ilham Aliyev: Thank you. All civil servants should work properly. I am happy to see refurbishment and reconstruction work carried out in Agjabedi region. I am very delighted that the work is going on well here. Great work is being done. Regions and villages become more attractive. Social issues are being solved. Of course, in such case, both the region will develop and our country will go ahead. Today, both social and economic issues are being solved in Agjabedi. A large dairy products plant is under construction. Hundreds of jobs are being created here. Schools are being constructed; hospitals will be built; a ground breaking ceremony of a large hospital will take place. Parks, village roads are being constructed. It means that all conditions should be created. All work should be carried out at appropriate level in all regions and particularly, in such larger region as Agjabedi. The construction of village roads will continue further. We should try to link all villages by such nice roads. I wish you good health and successes.

Resident: We are the happiest people that our President visits and studies our issues. We wish you long life and good health for having constructed this road.

President Ilham Aliyev: So, gas supply issue should be fully solved in all villages by the end of next year. As far as water project is concerned, it will be implemented also. These issues such as natural gas, electricity, water, irrigation and road are very important. A hospital will be constructed and commissioned probably in one or one year and a half. We have programs and plans to construct social facilities and schools. We will implement this program.

Resident: I take the floor on behalf of village school teachers. A new school is built and commissioned for us this year. We thank you for that. It is very nice and appropriate. We, the teachers, will work to use all our knowledge for Azerbaijani youth. According to your instruction, the work that is done to prepare the State Program on Azerbaijani youth for the years of 2011-2015 is a source of joy. We are grateful to you for that. We, Azerbaijani youth, Azerbaijani people, Azerbaijani teachers are proud of you.

President Ilham Aliyev: Thank you. I saw the photo of school. It is a very nice school.

Resident: It has all conditions.

President Ilham Aliyev: It is a nice school for a village. What is needed more?
