Ilham Aliyev met with European Parliament Chairman Jerzy Buzek

President Ilham Aliyev has met with European Parliament Chairman Jerzy Buzek in Brussels.

European Parliament Chairman Jerzy Buzek warmly welcomed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. President Ilham Aliyev and Jerzy Buzek had their picture taken with flags of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the European Union in the background.

The sides discussed issues relating to the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, further expansion of inter-parliamentary relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union, cooperation within the framework of the Eastern Partnership program and the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly.

The sides also exchanged views on the Association Agreement and ways of simplifying visa regulations between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
