Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the monument to great poet Sabir in Shamakhi

Within the framework of his visit to Shamakhi, President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Sabir village.

The President was informed that 4190 farms exist in the village, where 3444 people reside. Recently, extensive renovation works have been carried out in the streets of the district, electric and other utility lines have been replaced with new ones, and large-scale landscaping works have been carried out. A monument, to outstanding poet Mirza Alakbar Sabir, has been erected at the entry of the district.

President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the monument to the great Azerbaijani poet Mirza Alakbar Sabir and laid flowers at it.
