Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a new office building of the Gakh district branch of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP)

President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of a new office building of the Gakh district branch of New Azerbaijan Party (NAP).

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the building.

It was mentioned that the office building is located in the Heydar Aliyev Avenue in Gakh. The construction began in January 2010. Improvement work has been carried out around the building and green areas set up. At the entrance to the two-storey building with a total area of 512 square meters there is a bust of great leader Heydar Aliyev. There is also a photo stand reflecting the activities of the nationwide leader and President Ilham Aliyev relating to NAP. All offices in the new building are fitted with modern information and communication equipment and have the necessary conditions for fruitful work. The building has a modern ventilation system.

It was noted that the founding conference of the Gakh district branch of the NAP was held on 19 September 1993 and attended by 128 delegates. The Gakh district branch is the seventh NAP entity to be set up in districts and cities of Azerbaijan. Currently, it has 3,415 members. Of these, 51 per cent are women and 41 per cent are young people. The Gakh district branch of the NAP includes 70 primary party organizations. Currently, 119 NAP members work in district municipalities.

The head of state also reviewed the conference room.

President Ilham Aliyev watched the surrounding area from the balcony. The head of state was informed of the work carried out in the Youth Park around the building. It was noted that a youth settlement would be set up on the adjoining territory.
President Ilham Aliyev congratulated those present on the opening of the office building.
