President Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the reconstruction of a recreation park in the center of Jalilabad.
The head of the Jalilabad District Executive Authority, Aziz Azizov, informed the President that the park was set up in 1952 and was being reconstructed for the first time. There is a memorial for our compatriots who participated in the war in 1941-1945. Azerbaijanis played an important part in the victory over fascism in World War II. The people of Jalilabad also displayed heroism in the war. Great leader Heydar Aliyev, who had always appreciated the contribution of our countrymen to the victory over fascism, took consistent measures to enhance their authority in society. This policy is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev today.
The President of Azerbaijan laid flowers at the memorial for our compatriots who participated in the war of 1941-1945.
It was indicated that the park has all the conditions for the recreation of the people of Jalilabad, including veterans. There are various catering facilities here. The main criterion during reconstruction has been modernization. The park also has sports facilities, including those for handball, volleyball and basketball.
It was also noted that after the reconstruction the park has become beautiful, modern, clean and neat. The numerous landscape compositions created with decorative stones and flowers impart special beauty to the park. The park’s design harmoniously combines the traditions of national and classical architecture. A modern lighting system makes the park even more attractive.
The President praised the work done and gave relevant instructions and recommendations.
