We forgot all about our grief and pain when we heard the good news at an event marking the 19th anniversary of the occupation of our district by the Armenian armed forces on 31 August. The pardoning of Ramil Safarov on that day delighted all the participants who were driven out from their homes.

This humane decision demonstrates the strong position of our President in the liberation of our lands and the restoration of our territorial integrity. We, the athletes, are inspired for further victories. Please accept our boundless gratitude. We support your wise and bold approach and are always ready to carry out your decisions towards liberating our lands from occupation.
