08 September 2010, 18:18
Dear countrymen!
The blessed month of Ramadan, during which our Holy Koran was heaven-sent, is coming to an end. During this month, Muslims have the opportunity to fulfill their duty to Allah and religion, experience the joy of good deeds, feelings, mercy and compassion, victory of spiritual and moral perfection over temptation.
Azerbaijan, which is an integral part of the Islamic world, annually conducts national and religious ceremonies, including the Ramadan holiday. Having passed fasting ordeals with dignity, our believers proudly bid farewell to Ramadan and share their holiday joy others. Wishes of peace and calm are made throughout the country, tribute is paid to the memory of martyrs. On this dear holiday I would like to share all good intentions and wish that your prayers are heard by the Almighty.
Dear brothers and sisters!
The Ramadan holiday, which enlightens hearts with divine wisdom, calls for peace, tranquility and accord, opens the way for a triumph of good and benevolent deeds in our society. I would like to sincerely congratulate every one of you and all our compatriots living outside Azerbaijan on this blessed holiday, wish happiness and well-being to your families and prosperity to your homes.
May Allah accept your fast!
