President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Gusar-Laza motor road.
Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov informed the President that special attention in the construction of the Shahdag winter and summer tourist center was paid to the reconstruction of the road infrastructure. In accordance with the President’s instruction, the road leading to the Shahdag winter and summer tourist center has been extended, bridges built and protective measures taken to prevent landslides. The said activities have facilitated the passage of tourists to the center throughout the year.
The President reviewed the stands reflecting the technical parameters of the road.
It was noted that the construction of the road was begun on orders of the Ministry of Transport in 2007. The length of the two-lane road is 39 km and width is 8 meters. There are eight bridges with a total length of 318 meters on the road.
