Ilham Aliyev reviewed an interior troops unit in Hajigabul after reconstruction

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has reviewed an interior troops unit in Hajigabul after reconstruction.
Minister of Internal Affairs Col-Gen Ramil Usubov reported to Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

It was noted that the policy towards building a regular army, the foundation of which was laid by nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and which has been successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, has turned Azerbaijan into a state with the strongest army of the region. Over the past 10 years the focus has also been on the organization of management of interior troops and improvement of the living conditions for the personnel. Soldiers and officers of the interior troops always vigilantly stand guard over the interests of society and the state, as well as public order. Over the years, they have adequately coped with the tasks assigned to them. Recent years are characterized for this structure as a new period of development in terms of the ongoing reforms in the interior troops, training, material and technical logistics, social well-being of the personnel and other processes. The personnel of the interior troops are capable of fulfilling the responsibilities vested in them, vigilantly guard the national interests of Azerbaijan and are a major force in the protection of the domestic stability of the country.

Interior troops have turned into a highly professional structure with perfect moral and psychological training.
The President reviewed the reconstruction project and a layout of the military unit. It was noted that important work was carried out to improve the material and technical logistics of the interior troops at the present time. The conditions created at the unit are a clear example of that. The restoration work at the military unit, which covers an area of 19 hectares, will be carried out in stages. The first stage saw the construction of a five-storey building of headquarters, the construction of which was started in March of last year, barracks, a canteen and a checkpoint. The area is enclosed by a fence. There is a wide area for drill exercises and a network of internal communications. The area of the unit has been landscaped. The buildings are equipped with all the necessary engineering and communication systems.

The total area of the buildings and structures set up under the first phase is 7,674 square meters. At the next stage, five-storey military barracks for 400 people, a six-storey apartment building with 60 apartments, a warehouse of weapons and ammunition, and a fleet of 100 vehicles will be built. Also planned is the construction of a guard point, baths, a laundry, a boiler house, a transformer substation, a pump station and an observation tower.

The President of Azerbaijan was informed that elements of national architecture were used in the construction of buildings in the military unit.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev was familiarized with the headquarters of the military unit. In the lobby of the building there are stands reflecting the care and attention of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to the development of the armed forces, the activities of interior troops, and state attributes. On the first floor, which accommodates various offices, instructions on enhancing combat operations are posted on the walls. The new headquarters building is also provided with all the necessary communication systems, furniture and equipment.
The President of Azerbaijan reviewed the premises of the military unit, the renovated dormitory for officers with a total of 70 apartments, and the living conditions of officer families.

The head of state was photographed with children of the military personnel.

After reviewing the activities of the military camp, President Ilham Aliyev gave relevant instructions and recommendations.
