President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of a bus station of Gakh-Avto LLC.
The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the bus station.
The President reviewed the stands with images of the old and new bus station, as well as auxiliary structures of the complex.
It was indicated that the bus station was built in a modern architectural style and has a total area of 522 square meters.
Green areas have been established and decorative trees planted on the premises. The building has the necessary conditions for the rest of passengers and a modern ventilation system.
It was mentioned that the construction of the bus station commenced in early 2010. It covers an area of about one hectare.
The adjoining area of 6,000 square meters has been covered with asphalt concrete. There is a park for passengers to have rest in. Trees and decorative shrubs have been planted on an area of over 700 square meters. The bus station has a sophisticated lighting system.
The President was informed that the two-storey bus station also has areas for technical examination, a warehouse, a boiler house and shops. The lounge on the first floor has all the conditions for passengers. There is a mother and child room here as well. The station has a left-luggage office. The control room is fitted with the necessary equipment. Those seeking medical aid can apply to the local medical center. The bus station will also operate a restaurant. On the second floor there are offices, a conference room and four guest rooms. In short, the bus station is ready to provide excellent service.
